I’m Mike Hilliard. My wife and I married in 2002, and with the help of our three sons we created The Havenstone — an outdoor photography venue in Southeast Ohio on a property that has been in our family for over 40 years.
It’s a place designed for creativity, connection, and capturing memories — built for photography but also used for weddings, private events, and all things arts & wellness. It is truly A Place Like Nowhere Else...
With this emphasis on photography and my drive to shape natural settings alongside staged designs, it was only a matter of time before I decided it was time to move away from my cellphone and get my first "real" camera.
It was simply a learning exercise. I’ve never seen the world the way most people do, so I assumed my perspective & vision weren't relatable. It turns out, it's exactly the reason people ask me to photograph them.
